Just one month after the official release of Vera Bradley’s new Disney handbags, the collection is already expanding with more unique prints and patterns. Guests aboard the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Magic recently found themselves surprised by new additions including those featuring the Disney Cruise Line logo. If you’re getting ready to set sail, take a look at these new bags which are sure to add a bit of charm to your vacation.
When shopping aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship, you will now find a variety of Vera Bradley merchandise for sale including a large duffel, beach towels, a weekender bag, two sizes of tote bags, a hipster purse, and an all-in-one crossbody wallet. Each item is available in numerous prints including two that have been updated for the Disney Cruise Line exclusives: Jazzy Blooms and Marina Paisley. Others include Canterberry Cobalt, which was just released this fall, Heather, Tutti Frutti, and more.
The cruise line exclusive bags use the above prints combined with a heavier canvas material in either orange or blue. The Disney Cruise Line logo is neatly embroidered on the front. The bags are perfect for carrying items ashore whether you stop at Castaway Cay or go on a special excursion. I like the fact that canvas is used so they are much sturdier than other Vera Bradley bags.
With this being said, I am a bit disappointed that the exclusive items feature prints that are already available. One can find both Jazzy Blooms and Marina Paisley in any local shop; the only difference with these is the cruise line logo. I would have expected much more from the Vera Bradley designers especially since they are quite creative in mixing and matching beautiful florals and colors. I am hoping that this is only the tip of the iceberg in terms of what exclusive offerings the cruise ships will see moving forward.
If you don’t have a Disney cruise planned for the future, you need not feel left out. Vera Bradley has also created a new theme park exclusive print to compliment the two which were released in September. The new pattern, “Where’s Mickey?”, features blues, greens, and whites and is sprinkled with Mickey head icons throughout the floral design. Guests can find backpacks, Smartphone wristlets, duffels, and more in this pattern starting October 29 at World of Disney in Downtown Disney Marketplace.
Much like the popularity of Dooney & Bourke’s Disney line, it looks like Vera Bradley is the new staple for guests looking to sport a little bit of magic on their shoulders. Be sure to check out both the new cruise bags and those available in the theme parks during your next vacation. In the meantime, which one do you like the best?
