The Happy Haunted Horseshoe at the Magic Kingdom

I found a true Disney gem at the Magic Kingdom yesterday.  This event was part of Limited Time Magic at Walt Disney World. I always thought that the Diamond Horseshoe was an under-used space in Magic Kingdom.

The performers were Miss Betty Blue, the Cadaver Dans, the Ghostly Magic of Abner Cadaver, and on the piano was Dearly Departed Stan. I love when Disney has a sense of humor with their performers. It was fun to laugh along with the show.

The show runs continuously from 11:00am – 3:00pm daily Monday-Friday this week only. Just come on in and sit down for a bit while they perform.  There are refreshments available for purchase.

There is great interaction with the guests in the crowd. Abner Cadaver did some magic tricks that were great.

I have always wondered what was upstairs and now I know. It was fun watching the show from the second floor.

If you love the Dapper Dans, a barbershop quartet at Magic Kingdom, you will love the Cadaver Dans. They strolled through the audience with their “Boo to You” song and scared the living daylights out of me when they came up behind me.

Finally, Miss Betty Blue came out and sang and interacted with the crowd.  All the performers were great at finding the person in the crowd that seemed shy and working to bring them out of their shell.

Great job, Disney!!  This is my favorite of all the Limited Time Magic events so far! I haven’t been lucky enough to take part in the tours that were previously offered with Limited Time Magic, but I hit the jackpot with this show.  It’s a great place to sit down, cool off and enjoy the show.  It would be great if Disney could offer something like this year round.  I am keeping my fingers crossed.

and OH DUHI totally forgot to mention that Miss Betty Blue is Terry’s wife Sheila, also a long time Disney performer, although she has been in many roles the Adventurers club provided some of her most memorable ones.

Nice to see magician Terry Ward (also seen as “Jack Diamond” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios) back in the Horseshoe where I first saw him YEARS ago. You can also see him on his own site (google performer Terry Ward, that should bring it up) and OH DUH, I totally forgot to mention that Miss Betty Blue is Terry’s wife Sheila, also a long time Disney performer, although she has been in many roles the Adventurers club provided some of her most memorable ones.
