It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Magic Kingdom

It’s that magical time of year at Walt Disney World when the Magic Kingdom changes their decorations from Halloween to the Holidays.

All of the Walt Disney World parks will eventually be decorated for the holidays. Magic Kingdom is the first to be decorated because of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parties.  The first party is November 8th.  The parties are very popular and the first one is already sold out.

The decorations start at the Ticket and Transportation Center.  As you are rushing through the area to take the monorail or ferry, stop and listen to the Christmas music.

Cinderella’s Holiday Wish is now being performed nightly around 6:00 to 6:30 PM.  It takes place before the park closes for the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, about 15 minutes after the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It parade.  The best place to stand is in the hub near the Castle. You should check the times guide when you enter the park to get the exact nightly time.

The pictures truly don’t show how beautiful the Castle looks when it the lights are on.  They will be on until the first of the year.

I will be back with pictures from Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party over the weekend.  Are you looking forward to the holidays at Walt Disney World?

Nothing is better than spending time during the holidays at WDW. I had the chance to spend Christmas of 1994 at WDW and stayed at Wilderness Lodge during its first holiday season. It is a memory I will ALWAYS cherish!
