The Disneyland Resort has finally released some details of its upcoming Diamond Celebration.  The celebration will be resort wide, including some new offerings and some updates to existing offerings and is scheduled to begin on May 22, 2015.

At Disney California Adventure, Carthay Circle Restaurant will receive a diamond makeover.

Over on Paradise Pier, World of Color will become World of Color: Celebrate.  This entirely new show will focus on “The Wonderful World of Walt Disney”.

At Disneyland Park, Sleeping Beauty Castle will also receive a Diamond Celebration makeover.

Disneyland Park will also be the home to a brand new fireworks show, Disneyland Forever.  After complaints that Remember…Dreams Come True “had to be seen from The Hub”, the creative team for Disneyland Forever is using digital mapping to create visual effects that will be slightly different in each area of the Park, making the show repeatable and immersive whether you’re on Main Street USA, in It’s A Small World plaza, near the Matterhorn, or around the Rivers of America.

Finally, Disneyland Park is once again home to a night time parade!  Paint The Night, which was created in tandem with the Hong Kong Disneyland version that opened recently, will have hints of the Main Street Electrical Parade, but will be an entirely new show.  Steve Davison, Vice President for Parades and Spectaculars promises that “the drum is back” and that you’ll also hear bits of Baroque Hoedown, but in a whole new way.

Davison adds that, with all of the new nightime spectaculars, “it’s all about the story.”

Once again, the Diamond Celebration officially begins at the Disneyland Resort on May 22, 2015.
