Be Our Guest Breakfast and Construction Update in Magic Kingdom

| March 27, 2015 | 3 Replies

Today I got to try the new Breakfast at Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.  They started offering breakfast as a test at this beautiful restaurant on March 20, 2015. The test runs through June 18, 2015. We purposely scheduled our meal for before the park opened so we could enjoy Main Street USA without the crowds.  (Notice the crane is gone from behind the Castle.)

When you get to Magic Kingdom you will need to enter through a certain touch point for dining reservations. The cast member will scan your MagicBand and verify your reservation. Once you arrive at the restaurant they will scan your MagicBand again and verify the name on the reservation.  I would advise making an Advanced Dining Reservation, although judging by today, you might be able to dine by walking up to the podium.  You are handed a menu as you enter. You will be told to enter the restaurant and you will enter either the left or right line.  They ask if you are paying by cash, or credit or debit card.  There was a cast member back by the station where you ordered if you had any questions or needed assistance. You were given a Magic Rose as you entered so you scan that to start the ordering. The rose is used so the server can find you to deliver your meal.

We didn’t wait too long before our food arrived.  While you are waiting be sure to look around at all the beautiful details in this restaurant.  When we first were seated only two dining rooms were open; they opened the 3rd room shortly after.

I had the Vegetable Quiche.  It was quite tasty and cooked perfectly.

My daughter had the Open Face Bacon and Egg Sandwich. She thought it was amazing!

This plate of pastries was shared by the two of us.

You also get a soft drink, juice, coffee, water, or hot cocoa along with your meal. I thought it was a great way to start the day.  Nothing beats being able to walk down Main Street USA getting those photos. Do I think my meal was worth 19.99?  Not really. I think it would be a better value if it was in the $15.00 range. For that special way to start your day I guess I could justify $19.99 per person. I have nothing bad to say about the food or the service.  It was great.

They are now working on the Rose Garden and the area to the right of the Castle.

Here is the Rose Garden area now. I will miss this beautiful area but I can’t wait to see how they re-theme this area.

Here are some pictures of the Hub area on the right hand side as you are looking at Cinderella Castle.

So, you can see that progress is being made in the park.  The new hub area seems to be very popular for sitting on the fake grass and enjoying the view. Just remember we have fire ants that have a painful sting.  I don’t think they know it is fake grass.

Have you dined at Be Our Guest during the breakfast test?  What did you think of your meal? ‘Till next time, see you in the parks!

Still debating about our breakfast reservation in May. The cronut looks tempting though! Has there been any word yet on when the hub construction is expected to be finalized?

Kathy, thanks for the update. you are an awfully good sport on the podcast. You take a lot of ribbing about things and you always just let it slide right off. I tend to agree with you most of the time

Is this part of the meal plan?
