It’s a shame they built that nice walkway along the water but now it is behind construction walls. This is located near Paradiso 37. Paradiso 37 will be doubling in size. You can no longer access Raglan Road from the sidewalk on the old Pleasure Island side. You need to walk towards the Marketplace side of Downtown Disney and you will be able to dine at Raglan Road.
The Boathouse is now open. As part of the restaurant you can take a scenic tour on land/sea with an Amphicar. The cost is $125.00 for 20 minutes. 3 people can ride in the car with the driver. When the cars are out in the water it draws a crowd of onlookers. As you come up the ramp from the water in your car, your car turns around on a turntable to be situated to enter the water again. Just look for the crowd and you will know if the cars are out in the water. My grandson was fascinated watching the cars.
This is the walkway to the Marketplace side of Downtown Disney. By the way, the name will change to Disney Springs when the construction is finished in 2016. Since the last update the new Babycakes location has opened. There is another storefront open with all kinds of sandals and flip flops but there was no name outside.
If you are longing to see some construction cranes you will see plenty of them at Downtown Disney.
Dockside Margaritas will be opening April 23, 2015. This is on the Marketplace side of Downtown Disney.

This is the pedestrian bridge that is being built to cross over Buena Vista Drive.
This is some of the construction going on while they expand Buena Vista Drive. I wasn’t driving while these pictures were taken. Just be prepared and follow the signs because it seems every time we go there is a different traffic pattern. This is expected to be completed by 2016.
I do think it is getting easier to get around at Downtown Disney but pack your patience if you decide to visit. It may take you a little longer to get into the garage or deal with the traffic so arrive stress free by allowing extra time to get there. There are lots of new stores to explore. With the bridge over the water on the Marketplace side it has eliminated the bottleneck that used to exist when trying to walk around the lake. I am sure I am not the only one who will be excited to send this construction project finished in 2016. ‘Till next time, See ya in the parks!
