Recently, I visited the Disneyland Resort with my daughter Kelly and my nephews. While there, I decided to look for evidence of the Little Man of Disneyland. Wait… you haven’t heard of the Little Man of Disneyland? Let me tell you a little about him. (I also talk about him on our DIS Unplugged-Disneyland Edition [...]

Mary Jo makes her home in the Los Angeles area, close to the ocean and the LAX airport, just 25 miles west of the Disneyland Resort. This makes it convenient for her to visit the original Magic Kingdom quite often. Her favorite attraction is the Pirates of the Caribbean, though these days she also enjoys just going to listen and watch the entertainment throughout the parks, or having a bite to eat with various Disney friends.
She grew up going to Disneyland with family and friends who would visit from out-of-town. It seems that in those days it was more common to stay at someone's house rather than go to a hotel when visiting. Her mother also loved Disney, and it was common for visitors to be treated to the sound of the Disneyland Main Street Electrical Parade music (really loud) early in the morning on the day they were to visit the Land. Mary Jo has passed this love of Disney to her daughter Kelly, who probably goes more often than her mother.
In addition to visiting Disneyland, Mary Jo also enjoys checking out the local scene (there is so much to do in Southern California), camping in Yosemite or Sequoia, and traveling with her two adult children, Nick and Kelly, who currently live with her.
Mary Jo is a member of the The DIS Unplugged - Disneyland Edition Podcast, a moderator on the DISneyland forum on the DIS, and is an occasional contributor to the DIS Blog.

Steampunk is a style that incorporates steam-powered machinery with a futuristic Victorian setting. Think of Jules Verne and H.G. Wells, and you will have an idea of steampunk. Some of the Disneyland podcast team visited [...]

Recently, at Disney California Adventure, the Blue Sky Cellar unveiled a sneak peek at the renovated Market House on Main Street at Disneyland. I have some friends, Miguel & Bernie, who are big Disney fans, and when they heard that D23 had an exhibit at the Reagan Library, they wanted to go… with me. So, I went online, and found that the recommended thing to do is to purchase tickets before going to the Reagan Library. I got [...]
