Post by Nathaniel Nelson My wife, one-year-old daughter, and I recently embarked on a 7-night sailing through the Eastern Caribbean aboard the Disney Fantasy. Starting and ending in Port Canaveral, FL, we sailed to St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. I love the parades at Walt Disney World. Growing up, they were always factored into our touring plans for each and every trip. One of my favorites was Aladdin’s Royal Caravan parade over at Disney-MGM Studios (now known as Disney’s Hollywood Studios) from the early 90s. It featured a 26-foot tall giant Genie balloon, dozens [...]
I’ll admit it; I sometimes catch myself in a state of day dreaming. Looking at a wall, but only seeing my favorite theme park attractions, brightly colored paint, images of 3 circles connected to each other, and even the hot Florida sun melting my favorite theme park treat. However, during my daydream it’s different. I’m [...]
Just in time for this week’s DVD and Blu-Ray release of Disney’s Academy Award-winning film, Frozen, new merchandise is popping up on the shelves at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. After selling out their stock back in the late fall, stores are expanding what’s available for adult and kid fans. I recently took a [...]
Wow! What can I say about this parade? It knocked my socks off! I wasn’t sure what to expect since the last few “new” parades were just recycled floats from the previous parade. Walt Disney World knocked it out of the park with this new parade! The new 3:00 parade at the Magic Kingdom [...]
Yesterday marked the first day of Walt Disney World’s International Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot. From March 5-May 18, guests visiting the park will be surrounded by an abundance of fresh blooms, impressive topiaries, and delicate butterflies. In addition, as done for the first time last year, numerous kiosks featuring spring-inspired flavors of treats [...]
The 2014 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival opened today March 5, 2014. It runs through May 18, 2014. I love this time of year at Epcot. If not my all time favorite event, then it is tied with the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.
When hinges creak in doorless chambers and strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls, whenever candlelights flicker where the air is deathly still, that is the time when ghosts are present, practicing their terror with ghoulish delight. Listen up, goblins and ghoulies! Just in time for the 45th anniversary of Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion attraction this summer, Disney [...]
Whether its your first time or fiftieth time planning a trip to Orlando deciding upon the time of year can radically change your experience at the parks. Spring, summer, autumn and winter each bring unique events, weather, crowd levels and offers. In this blog post we will take a look at the different seasons and [...]
February is a beautiful time of year here in Orlando. The temps are great, the humidity is lower and the parks are less crowded. The crowds do swell for the Disney Princess Marathon races but it is a great time to visit the Walt Disney World theme parks.
